Our Canada road-trip from Montreal to Vancouver Island lead us through quite a few amazing places and National Parks.
Some of the spectacular vistas and highlights of our trip were in the rocky Mountains. From Calgary we drove west to Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise via the Glacier Highway to Jasper.
The first set of images is from the Banff, Lake Minewanka, Lake Louise and Moraine Lake area.
We hiked up to the 5 glaciers from Lake Louise. This is a half day hike with amazing views.
The next set of images is further along the Glacier Highway, passing by Peyto Lake, the Arthabasca glacier and finally Jasper National park.
Sunwapta Falls, followed by the falls of the Arthabasca river.
While we visited the Rockies there were wild fires in Yoho national park and most days the sky was full of smoke and the mountains were barely visible. Not ideal for photography. On most pictures there is a strange glow in the sky.
Stand by for Part 3 Vancouver Island.
